Michael’s B2B experience is broad, having covered construction, commercial property and the travel industry during his career in journalism. Food retail and small producers have become his specialist subjects, though.
He is now in his ninth year at the Guild of Fine Food’s monthly trade title Fine Food Digest, which has an audience of delis, farm shops and food halls, as well as many of the businesses that service them.
This job has put him in the very fortunate position of being able to see how the speciality food sector works, from the perspective of both suppliers and their stockists.
