In 30 years as a food business journalist. Mick Whitworth has written in depth about retailers and producers of every size, from market stall operators to major multiples, and from home-based jam-makers to multinationals.
For the past decade he has edited Fine Food Digest, the speciality food & drink trade monthly published by the Guild of Fine Food.
After learning the ropes on a weekly paper for the seafood trade, Mick jumped into the big time as deputy editor on The Grocer, the supermarket bible. He later edited its sister magazine Food Manufacture before going freelance, writing for titles ranging from The Snacks Magazine to Caterer & Hotelkeeper.
He joined the Guild full-time in 2006 and is now part of its senior management team.
